Yes! After receiving and unpacking your Breksta Mattress, you can sleep on it right away! Since your bed has been compressed please allow "up-to" 72 hours for the mattress to fully fill-in and settle into its final firmness & height, but it mostly will expand fully in minutes! Also, jump in - it can be slept on immediately after unboxing.

Yes, we value quality tested materials in our products - so all of the foams in our mattresses are CertiPUR-US® Certified foams. CertiPUR-US® is a third party, independent agency that certifies the foams we use are: Made without ozone depleters, Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants, Made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals, Made without formaldehyde, Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
Our amazing fabric cover is a phase change material that will feel cool to the touch. When you get into bed, the cover will balance your body’s temperature to reach the optimal sleeping temperature for deep restful sleep. Also, all the foams we use are open cell and breathable so they allow airflow. Plus our Breksta cool gel memory foam dissipates heat. Great question! The Calypso mattresses from Breksta practically eliminate the motion of a partner so you can rest through the night without being disturbed.
No, however, if you have a very strong or sensitive sense of smell you may experience a slight or very faint smell. All materials, natural or manmade can have a smell, however, in the rare case your sniffer picks something up, it will dissipate in a matter of a few hours in a well ventilated area (for non-ventilated areas please allow 72 hours or more). However, we have been told by many customers that our mattresses don’t smell!
Absolutely! All of our mattresses are designed to work perfectly with adjustable bases and any frame really with widespread support at least every 4 inches. Shop our Adjustable Bases and Foundations.
By law all mattresses have to be made with some sort of fire retardant material to prevent a home from going up in flames quickly in the event of a fire. Breksta mattresses do not use chemical fire sprays. Only the highest quality fire retardant socks and materials—a fabric made of a non-woven silica/rayon/polyester/cotton blend. For more information regarding fire retardant fibers, please research Jones Fiber.
Breksta mattress use the highest quality fire barriers that even some of the brands that market organic mattresses use and are required to use by law.

There’s several things you can do to get the most of your Breksta Mattress. One common misconception out there is that some mattresses are hypoallergenic. We like to be transparent and realistic and frankly, a mattress is a dust magnet!!! The only way to really prevent dust and allergens from accumulating in your mattress is by using a mattress protector. We sell them if needed. We have Fitted & Encased options of Mattress Protectors and we recommend them as a sure-shot way to keep yucky stuff out including dust, allergens, body fluids and moisture. The most protective one goes all the way around encasing the entire mattress and zipping shut.
Also, most mattresses aren’t flippable anymore and most all mattress manufacturers have gotten away from double sided mattresses. Therefore, we recommend you rotate your mattress 180º from head to foot every 6-8 months so the mattress wears evenly. Especially if you sleep only on one side of the mattress consistently or if your partner has a different body weight then you. This consistent rotating of your mattress will ensure that your mattress wears evenly and you get more life out of it. We use more durable materials now then in the past so flipping the mattress is not necessary and we save cost by making one-sided and pass the savings on to you.
Yes, you can spot clean it with a towel, mild detergent or hand soap. However, a mattress protector is always the best way to protect your investment and keep it sanitary. We sell Fitted & Encased options of Mattress Protectors.
All mattresses will eventually mold to shape of your body slightly - they are designed to take the shape of your body for optimal sleep. However, any depressions more than 1” are covered by our Lifetime Warranty. To ensure evenly distribution & wear of your mattress we always recommend rotating your mattress from head to foot 180º every 6-8 months for this purpose - this can help with your long-term comfort. However, rest assured that Breksta mattresses are durable and lasting. We use only the strongest, state of the art materials. We recommend any mattress or bed frame packaging or boxes you can recycle / discard immediately.
Any small bedding packaging we recommend you keep, as you never know, it might come in handy in the future event of a return.
Our mattresses are roll-packed which means they are compressed, rolled and shipped to you in a much smaller box then the actual size of the mattress. There are 2 layers of plastic that wrap your mattress tightly rolled up. With scissors, carefully cut the first layer of plastic (be mindful to cut in an area that won’t risk you damaging the mattress). Then unroll the mattress flat on the frame or surface you’ll be sleeping on with the top side facing up, then cut the second plastic at the head or the foot of the bed first to allow air inside and the mattress will begin to expand up. From there, you can continue cutting the plastic around the perimeter of the top of the mattress until you’ve cut the entire top of plastic off. Then you should be able to fairly easily pull on the remaining plastic sticking out from underneath the mattress to slide the rest of the plastic from underneath the mattress, then….. Voila! You’re finished!

If you have a semi-flexible slat system or box it won't offer lasting support for many mattresses. We recommend a non-flexible foundation, like a box foundation or flat slat system with center supports. You can tell if you have adequate support by looking at the slats—if they are bowed in any way they may have too much flex to provide the necessary support or if you put weight on your box and it is flexible, we recommend getting a non-flexible box spring or foundation.

Your Breksta mattress will ship within 3-7 business days via Fedex. We receive tracking info once it has been shipped from one of our distribution centers. If you haven’t received your mattress within 7 business days please contact us and we can provide tracking information.

But, for that reason we have several protective measures in place to make sure you’ll always be satisfied - and just so you’re fully protected, you’ll have our money-back, satisfaction guarantee. Now that being said, we do ask you to sleep on your mattress for a minimum of 30 days and this is an industry-wide practice for good reason and here’s why: Have you ever worked out or carried something heavy and been sore for a couple days? Well, changing your mattress could be similar. That’s your body’s way of saying “I’m healing!” Your body has been sleeping on your old mattress for a long time, possibly many years and your body will need some time to adjust to the new feel of a new mattress. Sometimes, your body can even be realigning on your new Breksta mattress. When switching to any new mattress that may be more optimal for you and actually provides you a better balance of comfort and support then you’re previous mattress - don’t be surprised if for a couple nights to a week in the beginning you may experience slight soreness or discomfort. This could actually be a good sign that your body is re-aligning properly & being supported and you may have the perfect fit, but just need a little time to get used to it. So, for your ultimate benefit we ask to give it 30 days to allow your body to settle into this new advanced support system, your Breksta Mattress!
Exchanges or returns are available after you've tried the mattress for at least 30 days from the date of delivery. This gives you ample time to properly adjust to the new materials.

In the low probability your Breksta mattress just isn't working out & we weren't able to find the optimal sleep solution, we can refund your money in full. We aim to have a social impact and earn your utmost confidence & satisfaction. Breksta will work with you to donate the mattress to a local charity and / or have it picked up. All Breksta mattresses come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the full period of the original owner’s use / ownership. The warranty is only valid for the original owner who retains proof of purchase starting from the purchase date. It protects the original owner from faulty craftsmanship or materials, such as deterioration causing the mattress to have a visible indentation greater than one inch (1”) that is not associated with improper support resulting from the foundation or support system under the mattress. The trial period on mattresses does not change, extend or shorten once a claim is received and cannot be extended or paused unless willingly expressed by Breksta®.

After the initial 180 night sleep trial, if your needs change, let’s say for example you need a mattress that’s firmer or softer, or you move and need a different mattress size than you originally purchased, for as long as the original owner retains ownership of the purchased Breksta® Mattress and maintains copy of proof of purchase, you may take 25% of your original mattress price off of a new Breksta® Mattress’ current, full retail value price, and other running, promotional discounts or promotions cannot be combined in this instance. If your mattress has layers that are removable and the firmness can be adjusted, you can purchase one from us at a 25% discount off of our current retail price.
WHAT IS COVERED:
Deterioration & visible defects & permanent indentations equal or greater to 1 inch that is not associated with an indentation or sag which results from use of an improper, unsupportive or faulty foundation, box-spring(s), base or platform without consistent, wide-spread support at least every 4 linear inches. The indentation must be visible to the naked eye with no weight applied to the top of the mattress
